In the pursuit of physical health, we often neglect to work out our confidence muscles. Have you ever found yourself frustrated with the numbers on the scale, and asked, “Why can’t I just be happy?” Where are the warmth and the self-love that all of these “healthy” people seem to radiate? Have you ever stopped a moment to wonder if there is pain behind the smile?

Warmth, kindness, and acceptance…

How lucky we are, then, to have a person like Rita Chand here on this earth.

I’ve never met anyone who exudes warmth, kindness, and acceptance like Rita. After struggling with her weight all her life, Rita knew it was time to take her health into her own hands, but the diet industry lets her down again and again.

Today, Rita is going to share how she worked through difficult family relationships, built up her confidence and self-love, then transformed her health from the inside out.

We talk about the “messy middle”, engulfing hugs, and silver linings. And we laugh. A lot.

Rita is such an inspiration to me because she isn’t afraid to share how she made it through the “Messy Middle.” When our Instagram is filled with Before and After photos, it’s tempting to look at the middle of your own journey and despair.

Rita wants to change that, one warm hug, big smile and affirming word at a time.

Listen in to hear Rita and I talk about:

  • Rita’s health journey filled with ups, downs, and all-arounds.
  • How her weight became a point of contention with her mother, and then a moment of connection.
  • The holistic habits we can use to improve our health. Cold showers, anyone?

Rita’s inner transformation is nothing short of inspiring and a story worth hearing.
